The Alfa Romeo Montreal is a 4-seat, 2-door coupe produced in Italy in 1970-1977. The car was introduced as a concept in 1967 at Expo 67 in Canada (Montreal). It was originally exhibited without any name, but the public began to call it Montreal.
The first production car was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in Geneva in 1970. It was powered by a front-mounted 2.5-litre V8 engine with 197 hp (147 kW), which was mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Montreal’s chassis was taken from the Guilia GTV coupe. It could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds and the top speed was 220 km/h. A total of around 3 900 examples were produced.
