The Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer is a series of sports cars produced between 1973 and 1984. The 365 GT4 BB was the first of a series of road-going Ferraris equipped with a flat 12-cylinder. This was followed by the BB 512, equipped with a larger displacement engine and, from 1981, the BB 512i with fuel injection.

The Ferrari 512 BB was first introduced to the public at the 1976 Paris Motor Show. The 512 name referred to the 5-litre 12-cylinder engine with 340 hp (250 kW). It had a 5-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive. In total, only 929 units were produced. The car was able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 s and to a top speed of 284 km/h.
