The Chevrolet Bel Air is a full-size automobile produced in from 1950-1981. Originally, this name was used only for 2-door cars with hardtops (1950-1952). In 1953, the name changed from the designation for the unique body shape to the premium level of the full line of body styles. The Bel Air continued with various other trim level designations, and when production ended, the mid-level car became a cheap sedan.

Chevrolet Bel Air 2. Gen was produced between 1954-1957. It was sold as a 2/4-door hardtop, 4-door sedan, 2-door convertible and 2/4-door station wagon. It had rear-wheel drive and engine located in the front.  It was available with 3.5-liter and 3.9-liter I6 engines or with 4.3-liter and 4.6-liter V8 engines depending on model year. The 4.6-litre V8 engine was rated at 283 hp (211 kW). There was also a choice of 3-speed manual and 2/3-speed aic transmissions.
