The SS Jaguar 100 was a British 2-seater sports car produced from 1936-1939. The number 100 in the name was for the theoretical top speed of the car. It was powered by a 2.5-litre, from 1938 a 3.5-litre I6 engine, which was mated to a 4-speed gearbox. Compared to the previous model, power was increased from 70 hp (52 kW) to 100 hp (70 kW) and later to 125 hp (93 kW). The top speed of the car with the 2.5-litre engine was 153 km/h, and it was able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 13.5 seconds. A car with a 3.5-litre engine was able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.5 s and reach a speed of 160 km/h.
