The Alfa Romeo 2000 GT Veloce (also known as the 2000 GTV) was a 2-door coupe introduced in 1971 along with the 2000 Berlina and 2000 Spider and produced until 1976. The 2000 series was a replacement for the 1750 series. It was powered by the I4 engine, which has been rationalized in its entirety. Its volume was increased to 2-litres with a change in bore and stroke, yet the oil and radiator volumes remained unchanged. The engine had an output of 132 hp (97 kW). The interior trim was also changed, with the most notable difference being the introduction of a separate instrument cluster instead of gauges mounted on the dashboard. In total, just under 38 000 units were produced.
