This 2-seater sports car was produced from 1967-2002 in 4 generations and was available as a coupe or as a convertible. Today, we’ll take a closer look at the first generation, which was produced between 1967 and 1969. Models were available with five different engines ranging from a 3.8-liter SOHC I6 to a 335 horsepower (250 kW) 6.6-liter V8, limited on some models, and were rear-wheel drive. There was also a choice of a 2/3-speed aic or a 3/4-speed manual transmission. More than 277,000 of the first generation were produced, the largest number being the 1968 model, which could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds (6.6L V8).
