This small 4-seater city car was produced from 1957-1975. Thanks to its fashionable rounded shapes, its size and low price, it became one of the most successful folk cars. Thanks to its popularity, it was produced not only in Italy but also in other European countries. More than 3.5 million pieces in several model series have been produced in 18 years. The first model was powered by a 2-cylinder air-cooled engine located at the rear. The less than half-litre engine had a power output of 13 hp (10kW) and, together with a 4-speed manual gearbox, drove the rear axle. The car weighed 470 kg and had a top speed of 90 km/h with a fuel consumption of only 5.5 l/100km.
