This super sports car rolled off the production lines in 1978. production lasted only 3 years. This is the first BMW with the M. The design was created by the famous automotive designer Giorgetto Giugiaro. This two-door coupe with a mid-engine drove the rear wheels. The engine capacity was 3.5 litres. The engine designation was BMW M88/3 V6 and was mated to a ZF 5DS 25/2 5-speed manual transmission. Thanks to its 204 kW of power, the M1 was able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 6 seconds.
