He was a replacement for Silver Ghost. Introduced as the New Phantom in 1925, it had a larger engine than the Silver Ghost, namely a 7.7-litre inline six-cylinder. It featured a 3-speed manual transmission, adjustable radiator caps, and utilized a disc clutch. Interestingly, Rolls-Royce never referred to it as the Phantom I – that name was coined by enthusiasts who wanted to separate it from other generations.
