The Lamborghini Espada combined a 12-cylinder engine with four seats and the striking body of a grand tourer. Its long, low silhouette shows that even a more practical Lamborghini could have a bold design.

The model was introduced in 1968. The selected example belongs to the second series, which featured changes to both the interior and the technical specifications. Under the hood is a 3.9-liter V12 engine with six Weber twin-chamber carburetors, paired with a five-speed manual transmission.

The car was manufactured in July 1972 and was delivered new to a Lamborghini dealer in Vicenza, Italy. The silver body is complemented by a blue interior, giving it an elegant look despite its unusual proportions.

It later became part of Bob Pond’s collection. Interestingly, Pond bought it back after selling it. The documentation also details the restoration of the paint to its original shade, the reupholstering of the interior, and other work.

The Espada captivates with its own vision of luxury travel. It offers room for four while retaining the engine, sound, and distinctive character associated with the Italian brand.
