The Maserati A6G/54 is one of the most exclusive Italian GT cars of the 1950s. years. The model was created during a period when Maserati was producing small batches of hand-built cars with a strong emphasis on both performance and design.

The designation “A6” refers to the inline 6-cylinder, while the “G” stands for ghisa (cast iron engine block). The A6G/54 version was more powerful and technically advanced than the previous models.

Under the bonnet is a 2.0-litre inline 6-cylinder, derived from Maserati’s racing engines. Output was around 150 horsepower, which was very respectable for the light weight.

The bodies were produced by prestigious Italian studios such as Allemano, Zagato and Frua, so almost every piece differed in detail. This particular Coupé impresses with its elegant proportions, low roof and plenty of chrome detailing.

The interior used to be hand-trimmed and geared towards luxury GT driving rather than pure racing.
