The 1968 Corvette L88 is one of the rarest and most powerful versions of the C3 Corvette. The L88 program was created for customers who wanted a race-ready car straight from the factory.

Under the hood is a 7.0-liter big-block V8 (427), which was officially claimed to produce 430 horsepower. In reality, however, it reached significantly higher figures (estimates often over 500 horsepower), making it an extremely powerful car.

The L88 was not designed for normal road use – it lacked comfort features such as a radio or heating, and the engine required high-octane fuel. The entire car was built with one goal in mind: racing.

The design of the C3 generation has seen significant changes – aggressive lines, wide fenders and a low silhouette that clearly reference the car’s racing origins.

This particular NART Le Mans-style piece has a distinctive red paint job that emphasizes its racing character and references the American Corvette deployed at Le Mans.

Production was extremely limited – only about 80 L88s were built in 1968, making it one of the rarest Corvettes ever.
