The Lotus Eleven is one of the cleanest racing cars of the 1950s. years. It was designed by Colin Chapman according to his well-known philosophy – “simplify and lighten”.

The car was built primarily for racing and its construction was as simple and light as possible. The weight was around 450-500 kg, which was significantly less than the competition.

Under the hood were various small engines (e.g. Climax or Ford units), with output ranging from around 75 to 110 horsepower. Combined with the light weight, however, this meant an excellent power-to-weight ratio.

The design is purely functional – low bodywork, open cockpit and aerodynamic shapes that have been optimised for racing.

This particular piece has a minimalist interior and a racing character, with everything subordinated to the driving experience.
