The Facel Vega HK500 is one of the most exclusive European GTs of its time. It was built in France, but used large displacement Chrysler V8 engines because local alternatives did not offer enough power.

Power output was up to around 335-390 hp, which combined with the weight and design allowed speeds of up to 240 km/h – an extreme figure for the late 1950s.

Interestingly, the name “HK500” refers to the power-to-weight ratio of approximately 5 kg per horse, which was exceptional for the time.

The design is sleek and understated – the angular lines, long bonnet and clean proportions make this a discreet luxury GT rather than a flashy sports car.

This particular piece has a bright (white) interior that contrasts beautifully with the exterior and accentuates its luxurious character. The interior has often been handcrafted with attention to detail, including the wooden dashboard and quality leather.
