The Jaguar XK120 was introduced in 1948 and quickly became one of the most important sports cars of its time. At the time of its introduction, it was the fastest mass-produced car in the world.
The name “120” refers to a top speed of 120 mph (approximately 193 km/h), which was extraordinary in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
Under the bonnet was a 3.4-litre inline 6-cylinder (XK engine), which was renowned for its performance and reliability. This engine later became the basis for many other Jaguar models.
The design is one of the most iconic – the long bonnet, flowing curves and low silhouette create an elegant and timeless look that is still highly prized today.
This particular piece has a classic lacquer finish and bold chrome details that accentuate its period character. The interior tends to be simple but stylish.
The XK120 was produced in a variety of versions – roadster, fixed-head coupe and drophead coupe, adding to its variability and collectible value.
