The 1959 Chevrolet Corvette belongs to the first generation C1, which was produced from 1953 to 1962. This model played a key role in shaping American sports cars and is still one of the brand’s most iconic vehicles today.
Compared to earlier years, the 1959 model brought subtle design changes – for example, the chrome “teeth” on the bonnet disappeared, resulting in a cleaner and sleeker look.
Under the hood was a 283 cubic inch (approx. 4.6 litre) V8 engine, which was available in a variety of power outputs. Interestingly, the Corvette was one of the first American cars with mechanical fuel injection, a very advanced solution for the time.
The design is typical of the 1950s – rounded lines, lots of chrome and a low silhouette that still looks elegant today.
This particular piece has a classic lacquer finish and bold chrome details that accentuate its period character. The interior tends to be simple but stylish, with an emphasis on the driving experience.
