The Jaguar Mark I is a luxury car manufactured in England (Coventry) between 1955 and 1959. It was sold as a 4-door saloon with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. It is referred to as the 2.4 Litre and 3.4 Litre in period company documentation. Its Mark I designation was retrospectively added after it was replaced by the Mark II.

The 2.4-litre version was announced in September 1955 and the larger 3.4-litre version was announced 17 months later, in February 1957. The bulkier version was designed for the American market and was initially not freely available domestically. The engines were mated to a 4-speed manual or 3-speed automatic transmission. A total of just over 37,000 examples were produced.
