The Ford Cortina Lotus (commonly known as the Lotus Cortina) is a compact high-performance sports car produced in the United Kingdom between 1963 and 1970 in two versions. It was sold as a 2-door saloon with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. Less than 7,500 examples were produced in total.
The first “generation” was produced between 1963 and 1966 with a redesigned chassis and body made of aluminium panels. The car was powered by a 1.5-litre I4 engine with 105 hp (78 kW). In total, just over 3,300 examples of the first “generation” were produced.
