The Lamborghini Miura is a sports car produced in Italy (Sant’Agata Bolognese) between 1966 and 1973. It was sold as a 2-door coupe with rear-wheel drive and a rear-middle-mounted engine. It is the first high-performance production car with this layout, which has since become the standard for performance-oriented sports cars. When launched, it was the fastest production car in the world.

The chassis of the Miura was unveiled at the 1965 Turin Motor Show and the prototype debuted at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show. The car was powered by a 4-litre V12 engine, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. In total, more than 700 examples were produced.
