The Porsche 912 is a sports car produced in West Germany (Stuttgart) between 1965 and 1969 as a successor to the 356. It was sold as a 2-door coupe with rear-wheel drive and a rear-mounted engine. Due to the company’s plan to discontinue the 356, the newly introduced more powerful 911 would remain as Porsche’s only product. Due to the price increase of the 911, the decision was made to develop the 912.

The car was powered by an air-cooled 1.6-litre, flat-four cylinder engine producing 102 hp (76 kW), mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It was known for its agile and balanced handling. In total, more than 32,000 examples were produced.
