The DAF 55 is a small family car manufactured in the Netherlands (Born) by DAF between 1967 and 1972 as a replacement for the 44 model. It was sold as a 2-door sedan and coupe and a 3-door station wagon with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine.

The car was powered by a 1.1-litre I4 engine with 50 hp (37 kW) mated to a CVT transmission. This allowed it to reach a speed of 136 km/h (136 mph). It had a dual circuit braking system with disc brakes on the front wheels. In total, more than 160,000 examples were produced.
