The Aston Martin DB 4 is a grand tourer produced in England between 1958 and 1963 as the successor to the DB Mark III. It was sold as a 2-door 2+2 coupe, 2-seater coupe and 2-door 2+2 convertible with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. From a technical standpoint, the DB4 was not an evolution of the Mark III, nor did it evolve into the DB5. It was built on a platform instead of a tubular chassis.
The car was powered by a 3.7-litre I6 engine with 240 hp (179 kW), mated to a manual gearbox. In total, just over 1,200 examples were produced.
