The Mercedes-Benz W113 is a sporty grand tourer produced in West Germany (Stuttgart, Sindelfingen) between 1963 and 1971 as a successor to the W198 and W121. It was sold as a 2-door coupe and roadster with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. It was first introduced to the public at the 1963 Geneva Motor Show.
The car was available with several inline 6-cylinder engines of 2.3; 2.5 and 2.8 depending on the version. The engines ranged in power from 148 hp (110 kW) to 168 hp (125 kW). These were mated to a 4-speed automatic or 4/5-speed manual transmission. In total, just under 50,000 examples were produced.
