The Jensen Interceptor is a grand tourer built in England (West Bromwich) between 1966 and 1976. It was sold as a 3-door, 4-seater hatchback and a 2-door, 4-seater convertible and coupe with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. The name Interceptor had previously been used for the model produced between 1950 and 1957. The company had used fiberglass for the bodywork in the previous two decades but the new Interceptor reverted to a steel body.
The car was available with a 6.3-litre engine (1966-1971) and a 7.2-litre V8 engine (1971-1976). The engines ranged in power from 250 hp (186 kW) to 335 hp (250 kW). These were mated to a 4-speed manual or 3-speed automatic transmission. In total, just over 6,400 examples were produced.
