The Triumph TR6 is a sports car produced in England (Coventry) between 1968 and 1976 as a replacement for the TR5. It was sold as a 2-door roadster with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. It was officially introduced to the public in January 1969. A total of just under 92,000 examples were produced, the vast majority of which were exported, almost all to the United States. Just under 9,000 examples were sold in the UK.
The car was powered by a 2.5-litre I6 engine with 150 hp (110 kW), mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. This allowed it to reach a speed of 190 km/h (190 mph) and accelerate from 0 to 97 km/h (62 mph) in 8.2 s. The power was reduced over time due to regulations.
