The Maserati Quattroporte is a full-size luxury car produced in Italy (Modena, Turin, Grugliasco) between 1963 and 2023 (6 generations) with production breaks. It was sold as a 4-door sedan with the engine located in the front and rear or front wheel drive depending on the generation of the car. The name translated from Italian means 4 doors.
The first generation of the Quattroporte was unveiled at the Turin Motor Show and was produced between 1963 and 1969. The first version was powered by a 4.1-litre V8 engine with 256 hp (191 kW) and only 230 examples of this version were produced in total. The second version was produced from 1966. It had a completely redesigned interior and was powered by either the engine from the first version or a 4.7-litre engine with 286 hp (213 kW).
