The Chevrolet Bel Air is a full-size automobile produced between 1950 and 1981. The name was originally used only for 2-door hardtop cars, but in 1953 the Bel Air name came to be used to refer to the unique body shape. Sales continued with various other trim level designations, and after production ended, the mid-level car became a low-priced sedan.
Chevrolet Bel Air 2. Gen was produced from 1954-1957. It was sold as a 2- or 4-door hardtop, 4-door sedan, 2-door convertible, and 2- or 4-door station wagon. It was available with 3.5-liter and 3.9-liter I6 engines or with 4.3-liter and 4.6-liter V8 engines, depending on the year of production. The engines were located in the front and powered the rear axle.
