The Ferrari 250 is a series of sports cars and grand tourers produced between 1952 and 1964. They were sold in convertible, coupe and Berlinetta versions with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. As the company’s most successful early line, it included a number of variants designed for road use or racing. The cars were powered by a V12 engine, and the designation stems from the volume of a single cylinder in cubic centimetres.
The Ferrari 250 GT/E was the first large production 4-seater Ferrari, produced in three series between 1959 and 1963. The interior space was larger compared to previous versions, which was achieved by moving the engine forward. The car was powered by a 3-litre V12 engine producing 237 hp (177 kW). In total, just under 1,000 examples were produced.
