The Lancia Flavia is a car produced in Turin between 1961 and 1971. It was sold as a 4-door saloon, 2-door coupe and convertible with front-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. It was introduced to the public with a flat-six, 4-cylinder, 1.5-litre engine at the 1960 Turin Motor Show and was launched over the next twelve months. In total, more than 100,000 examples were produced.

Over the years, the engine’s capacity increased to just under 2 litres, which of course also increased the power output. This ranged from 77 hp (57 kW) to 124 hp (93 kW). The engines were mated to a 4-speed or 5-speed manual gearbox. The car was named after the Via Flavia, the Roman road leading from Trieste to Dalmatia.
