The Jaguar XK140 is a sports car produced in England between 1954 and 1957 as a replacement for the XK120. It was sold as a 2-door coupe, roadster and convertible with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. Compared to its predecessor, it had a roomier interior, making it more comfortable for taller drivers, improved brakes, steering and increased suspension travel. From the outside, it was distinguishable by more prominent bumpers and turn signals.

The car was powered by a 3.4-litre I6 engine with 190 hp (142 kW). A modified version with 210 hp (157 kW) was also available. This allowed it to reach speeds of up to 200 km/h (62 mph) and accelerate from 0 to 97 km/h (62 mph) in 8.4 s. In total, just under 9,000 examples were produced.
