The Triumph TR3 is a sports car produced between 1955 and 1962 in England and several other countries as a replacement for the TR2. It was sold as a classic two-seater roadster with rear-wheel drive and the engine mounted at the front. In 1957 and 1962, updated variants, popularly known as the TR3A and TR3B, were launched. The model was replaced by the mechanically similar TR4.
The classic TR3 was produced in between 1955 and 1957. It was powered by a 2-litre I4 engine with 95 hp (71 kW), mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox, allowing it to reach speeds of up to 169 km/h (169 mph). The car was available from the factory with wire wheels, radio, heated, leather upholstery, windshield washer and fog lights. In total, more than 74,000 examples were produced, making it the third best-selling in the TR range.
