The Ferrari BB (Berlinetta Boxer) is a series of sports cars produced in Italy between 1973 and 1984. The first model of this series, the 365 GT4 BB, replaced the Daytona and was the first of the road-going Ferrari series with a flat-centre-mounted 12-cylinder engine. It was replaced by the BB 512 in 1976 and production ceased after the introduction of the Testarossa.
The BB 512 was first presented to the public at the 1976 Paris Motor Show. Its name represents the engine’s displacement and number of cylinders. It was powered by a flat-six, 5-litre 12-cylinder engine with 340 hp (250 kW), mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. A total of 929 examples were produced.
