The Aston Martin DB 4 is a grand tourer produced in between 1958 and 1963 in England. It was sold as a 2-seater coupe, 2+2 coupe and 2+2 convertible with rear-wheel drive and rear-mounted engine. Although it replaced the DB Mark III, from a technical point of view it was not its direct successor and not even a predecessor to the DB5. It was built on a platform in place of a tubular chassis and in total only 1,204 examples were produced.
The car was powered by a 3.7-litre I6 engine with 240 hp (179 kW), designed by Polish engineer and racer Tadek Marek, mated to a manual gearbox. This allowed it to reach speeds of 224 km/h (224 mph).
