Alfa Romeo Giulia the name of 3 directly unrelated models. The first was an entry-level 4-door sports sedan, produced between 1962 and 1978 in Italy and several other countries. The second are the updated Spider, Sprint and Sprint Speciale Alfa Giulietta and the third, in 2015, the revived compact luxury car (Type 952). Alfa Romeo was one of the first mainstream manufacturers to put a powerful engine in a lightweight, production, 4-door, 1-ton car.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Spider was essentially a Giulia TI, which was reintroduced in 1968 as a lower-level model. It was powered by a 1.6-litre engine and 94 hp (70 kW), mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It had similar equipment to the 1300 ti and was replaced in 1970 by the 1300 Super, which offered similar performance in a lower tax bracket.
