Mercedes-Benz W111 is the chassis code for a range of Mercedes-Benz vehicles produced between 1959 and 1971, including 4-door sedans, 2-door coupes and convertibles. It was introduced with the 2.2-liter I6 engine. In total, more than 370,000 examples were produced.
The Mercedes-Benz 280 SE 3.5 was introduced in 1969 as the last model of the range and also as the company’s first post-war car with an engine capacity of more than 3 litres. It was powered by a 2.5-litre V8 engine with 200 hp (150 kW). This allowed it to reach speeds of up to 210 km/h (210 mph) and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 9.5 s. Compared to the previous version, the car had a wider grille and modified bumpers. In total, just over 4,500 examples of the 280 SE 3.5 were produced.
