The Boss 302 Mustang is a high-performance variant of the Ford Mustang produced in two generations in 1969-1970 and 2012-2013. This so-called “muscle” car was sold as a 2-door fastback coupe with rear-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine. It was developed to meet the homologation requirements to compete in Trans Am racing.

The car was powered by a 5-litre V8 engine with 290 hp (216 kW), mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. In 1970, the front end was modified, replacing the outer pair of headlights with vents and moving the headlights into the grille opening. The version of this year was able to accelerate from 0 to 97 km/h in 6.9 s. In total, around 7,000 examples were produced.
